30 Books personal challenge

This year I plan to read 30 books. I started on Jan 1st and by now I have read 8 books already.  Completing this challenge is not only a personal goal but I also added it to my Day Zero list. An other goal on my Day Zero list that has something to do with my 30 Books challenge is writing a review on all the books I read this year. Since I’ve already read 8 books I think I better start reviewing right away

The first four books I’ve read are from the Vampire Diaries series, written by L.J. Smith. Although the books are pretty entertaining and easy to read they are really not that special. I don’t say it that often, but in this case I really think the series are way better than the book. I cant really say whats wrong with them, if I’d have to make a guess I would say that there is not enough detail in the books. Its like they rush from one situation to the other and it doesn’t really spend much time explaining what the characters think or how the scenery looks like. My opinion is that the books would have been better if the writer spend a little more time on the details. But besides that they were nice to read.
